Queen Bee Book Club

First up this week is an update on Cher’s ongoing obsession, the Golden State Killer. The Bees then discuss their new book, Little Fires Everywhere. The chat includes enjoyment of unnecessarily setting sories in the past, appreciation for Izzy’s teen rebellion, and a rather heated debate about the central conflict of the novel. You won’t want to miss it!

The Bees are back this week with another Pride and Prejudice ep! Audrey breaks down the winners and losers of the cast Pride and Prejudice poll and Cher shares some personal news. The Bees also discuss the fate of Lydia, where they come down on Mr. Bennet, and give their final thoughts on Darcy and Elizabeth.

The Bees finally dive into parts one and two of Pride and Prejudice. Audrey makes an impassioned defense of why Jane Austen books are not just “girly”, Cher can’t stop thinking about the economics of P&P, and the Bees pose the question: who would play Mr. Darcy in a film adaptation today (Hint T-Chall).

This week on the podcast, the Bees are still going strong on the YA books with A Wrinkle in Time. There's plenty of praise for this award-winning classic, but Audrey and Cher also make time for feminist corner and some American Girl Doll talk. A Wrinkle in Time brings these Bees back to their childhoods and revelations like who their twelve year old crushes were await!

It's another Harry Potter Extravaganza on Queen Bee Book Club. The Bees are back and all about books 4-6 of the Harry Potter series. Cher highlights her favorite chapter, Padfoot Returns, Audrey lays out her theory that Hermione and Fred would make a nice couple, and both bees wonder what to think of S.P.E.W. You won't want to miss a moment of this admittedly longer than usual episode (we were off for a week and it's Harry Potter, okay!)

This week on the podcast Audrey and Cher are all about Call Me By Your Name. Fresh off a viewing of the Oscar winning film, the Bees discuss deviations from the book, their undying devotion to Elio and Timothee Chalomet, and debate Armie Hammer's casting. There's also plenty of time for Game of Thrones corner. Cher "explains" the Game of Thrones theory that Bran is the Night King, and Audrey once again lays down the law about being team Sansa.

This week on the podcast Audrey and Cher begin their discussion about Call Me By Your Name. The Bees are back on the same page about the lead characters in this novel. Both would put Elio in their pocket to keep him safe from any and all harm. There's also time for hangover corner, tales of the Bees encountering Scotsmen, and Girls talk.

Audrey and Cher begin this week by catching up on their weekends. They compare the merits of the Backstreet Boys and NSYNC and Audrey shares her thoughts on Black Panther. The Bees then dive into the final third of Swing Time. Cher defends Tracey while Audrey argues that you might have to cut the Traceys out of your life. However, the Bees find common ground in their hatred of the narrator's college boyfriend Rakim (naturally).

This week on the podcast the Bees dive back into Swing Time. They lament the dissolution of Tracey and the narrator’s friendship, discussing the more disturbing elements of Tracey’s childhood and adolescence. They also debate the ethics of Aimee’s school in Africa. Not surprisingly, Cher defends the narrator and Tracey’s rebelliousness while Audrey has no patience for it.
